When you think of heavy-hitting metals, steel might be top of mind β but aluminumβs here to steel the show. In 1964, Reynolds Metal Company debuted Aluminaut in Connecticut, USA. Aluminaut was the worldβs first aluminum submarine.
CHRYSLER BUILDING BREAKS GLOBAL RECORDS USING STAINLESS STEEL
The Chrysler Building, located in New York City and designed by William Van Alen, made history as the tallest building in the world in 1929. The building is measured at 1,046 feet with the top 180 a masterpiece of stainless steel.
RESEACHERS REPLICATE 3,500-YEAR-OLD BRONZE ARMOUR
In 1960, a suit of 3,500-year-old bronze armour was found in Southern Greece. It is one of the oldest known complete suits of European armour from the European Bronze Age.
