IF IT’S METAL, WE BUY IT.

ALUMINUM

Aluminum looks like steel; however, steel is magnetic, and aluminum is not. Aluminum is found in beer cans, soda cans, motorbikes, bicycles, car hoods and door frames.

HOUSEHOLD EXAMPLES: Automotive parts, car rims, radiators, siding and eaves troughing.

cOPPER

Copper is considered a valuable metal. It’s readily found in power cords, computer cables, old extension cords, old plumbing pipes and even select cooking pans. Copper is distinguished by its distinct red and brown colours.

HOUSEHOLD EXAMPLES: Copper plumbing pipe (new or used), copper wire free of coating.

iron

Iron is a magnetic metal found in most common household fixtures such as boilers, bathtubs and washing machines.

HOUSEHOLD EXAMPLES: Angle iron, brake rotors and drums, engine blocks (whole or part), farm equipment, steel pipe/tubing, steel plate/frames, and transmissions.

STAINLESS STEEL

Stainless steel looks like steel; however, steel is magnetic and stainless steel is not. Stainless steel contains about 70% iron.

HOUSEHOLD EXAMPLES: Cutlery, kitchen sinks and sheets, piping, tubing or turning.

STEEL

Steel is easy to distinguish from other metals because it is magnetic, and with that, attracts magnets. It's a heavy metal found in most household items.

HOUSEHOLD EXAMPLES: Angle iron, brake rotors and drums, engine blocks (whole or part), farm equipment, steel pipe/tubing, steel plate/frames, and transmissions.

OTHER

BN also recycles brass, bronze and lead. For homeware, we take anything from old and broken air conditioners to freezers, dishwashers, washing machines and driers.

An ePRa partner

BN is proud to be partnered with the Electronic Productions Recycling Association (EPRA). See accepted materials at EPRA locations here.

EPRA keeps 100,000 metric tonnes of old electronics out of landfills each year. That’s roughly equivalent to 20,000 elephants.
